MIT Ranks #1 for US News and QS World University

U.S. News & World Report ranked MIT number one for graduate school engineering programs for their 2018 rankings, a position it has held since 1990. MIT was also ranked number one in 12 subjects in the 2017 QS World University Rankings.

MIT ranked first in the U.S. News & World Report graduate rankings not only for engineering, but also for economics, math, and physics; and Sloan came in at number four for best graduate business programs, an increase from last year’s number five spot.

Within engineering, MIT also ranked first in six specific disciplines: biomedical/bioengineering, chemical engineering, computer engineering, electrical/electronic/communications engineering materials engineering, and mechanical engineering. MIT took the number two spot in aerospace/aeronautical/astronautical engineering and nuclear engineering; and civil engineering and environmental/environmental health engineering also ranked in the top 10.

U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in rankings and consumer advice, releases rankings across disciplines to help prospective students identify programs that support their professional growth and career needs. The six graduate disciplines U.S. News ranks annually are evaluated on factors such as employment rates and starting salaries for graduates and standardized test scores of newly enrolled students.

QS World University Rankings

MIT has been ranked as the No. 1 university in the world by QS World University Rankings consecutively for five years. Specifically, MIT ranked number one in architecture/built environment; linguistics; computer science and information systems; chemical engineering; civil and structural engineering; electrical and electronic engineering; mechanical, aeronautical and manufacturing engineering; chemistry; materials science; mathematics; physics and astronomy; and economics. MIT ranked within the top five for 19 of 46 subject areas.

The QS World University Rankings are designed to help prospective students make informed comparisons of leading universities around the world. Based on six performance indicators, the ranking assesses university performance in research, teaching, employability, and internationalization.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology is the best University. My ex girlfriend studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology Nuclear Science and Engineering (22) and Physics (8F) and Chemical Engineering (10). MIT she told me has the best professors and a great experience to her and I am thankful that sharing with me that. Also She pursue a Graduate Degree a Science Master in Aeronautics and Astronautics
